Maryland Science Center is seeking enthusiastic individuals to wonder, investigate, and discover with our guests on the museum floor. Make science and STEAM topics engaging and accessible while presenting hands on activities with guests of all ages.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitate hands-on activities with guests on the museum floor
- Engage guests in informal science and STEM experiences
- Perform short demonstrations for varied audiences as needed around the museum
- Engage guests conversationally in a wide variety of STEM topics
- Provide excellent guest service, including helping orient and inform guests about museum offerings
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
- Basic interest in science
- General behaviors and abilities of children
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Excellent informal presentation skills
- Adaptability to varied audiences and situations
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively to children and adult guests
- Feel comfortable in front of an audience and one on one
- Connect with diverse audiences
- Clearly convey information on STEM-related topics
- Independently manage time and follow a schedule
- Accurately follow procedures and uphold safety protocols

Pay: $15.00 per hour
Hours: Hours available Tuesday – Sunday
