Join the Maryland Science Center for an in-person workshop for Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts. Scouts will learn to design, build and test multiple machines to earn their mechanical engineering badges in our Girl Scouts Mechanical Engineering Workshop!

Brownies — Sunday, March 9Learn about forces, friction, and energy while designing, building, and testing a leap bot, fling flyer, and race car.
Sunday, March 9
1:00 – 4:30pm
$55 per scout
Learn about energy, simple and compound machines, and the design process. Design, build, and test a balloon car, paddle boat, and crane.
Saturday, March 29
11:00am – 4:40pm
$75 per scout
Additional Information
- Space in the classroom is limited, so we can only allow 1 adult in the classroom per group. That adult must be in the classroom at all times.
- Admission is included in the ticket price. Adults can purchase reduced admission at the ticket desk.
- A fun patch is included, but official badges must be purchased from your organization.
