Almost every day Maryland Science Center educators are out in communities across the city and across the state delivering science learning to pre-schools, middle schools, high schools, and everywhere in between. No other institution reaches more students through its outreach programs than the Maryland Science Center.
Traveling Science Program
The Maryland Science Center’s Traveling Science Program brings exciting hands-on, engaging science fun to your school.
From large scale assemblies to hands-on lab classes; our programs educate as well as stimulate interest and enthusiasm for science. Our Traveling Science Program vans travel to schools, home school co-ops, libraries, and other educational venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, reaching over 80,000 participants annually.
Family Science & Family Engineering Night
Bring the Maryland Science Center to your school for an evening devoted to family fun, community building, and learning.
Family Science Night is a two hour program designed to engage students and their families in STEM related activities. We also offer Family Engineering Night for an evening focused exclusively on design challenges and engineering concepts.
*Title 1 Parental Involvement Funding available upon booking.
*Please note that this program is on summer break. Bookings will reopen at the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

Call us Tuesday – Sunday, 10am – 4pm at 410-545-5968 with the following information ready: desired program, intended date and time, alternate dates, and class size, or fill out a request form and email it to reservations@mdsci.org. Reservations for the 2024-2025 school year open on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:00am.
