Are we alone in the Universe?
Is there other life on distant planets or moons? Explore new discoveries of extreme life on Earth and how they suggest where life might exist on planets and moons in our Solar System. Follow the hunt for planets outside our Solar System, including worlds like Earth.
Exhibit highlights:
- Look at extremophiles — creatures who live in extreme environments right here on our home planet — to get clues to what types of life might exist on other planets
- Get and up-close look (and touch) a real meteorite that fell to Earth from outer space. Explore it’s magnetic property firsthand.
Special tactile components in Life Beyond Earth provide accessibility to visitors with vision limitations, and Braille guides are available for use in the exhibit.
