Dip into indigo—the plant, the dye, and the process!
Create your own indigo dyed fabric samples in this 2-hour workshop designed for ages 13+. Learn about the chemical processes that make indigo dyeing possible and discover the art of Shibori as you fold and tie your fabric to design unique patterns.

- Space in the classroom is limited to registered participants. A portion of this program will take place on the Maryland Science Center’s green roof—please dress for the weather.
- The cost of the workshop includes all materials necessary for completing the project with hands-on instruction.
- Indigo can stain clothes— participants are encouraged to wear old clothing. Gloves will be provided.
