Dr. H. Bentley Glass Scholarships

Each spring, the Maryland Science Center awards $1500 scholarships to two accomplished high school students graduating from Baltimore City public high schools who intend to pursue post-secondary studies in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics and demonstrate financial need.
The scholarships are named in honor of Dr. H. Bentley Glass, who was a geneticist and professor of biology at Johns Hopkins University. Dr and Mrs. Glass initiated and funded the scholarship program in 1965 with a focus upon teaching and research in biological sciences. Today, the commitment to sciences has expanded to include the broader fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
