The Maryland Science Center’s tented roof deck is the best outdoor rooftop rental space for parties in Baltimore.
With sweeping views of downtown and the harbor from our roof deck, your guests will feel like they have access to a secret place. Point in fact—most pictures of downtown Baltimore that appear in magazines and brochures were taken from the roof of the Science Center. And local TV news crews broadcast live from the roof on New Year’s and July 4th every year.

Our one stop hospitality will take care of all your needs whether it’s a milestone birthday party or anniversary, a different kind of neighborhood block party, a family reunion, or just a special celebration. There is a summer menu with seasonal favorites and simple, affordable pricing. The tent with our rooftop rental features carpeted decking, as well as access to the patio outside the tent. And our hospitality team can help with any extras or special requests.
Our rooftop rental is available for daytime or evening events whether the Science Center is open or not. There is space for 150 people, but it’s perfect for smaller events as well.
