Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Location: Maryland Science Center
Cost: Free with paid admission
Who should attend: Everyone
When: Thursday, March 14
If there are two things that should be paired together, it’s Party and Pi(e). March 14th, or 3.14, marks the celebration of the mathematical constant, Pi, which is used to calculate the circumference of a circle.
The Maryland Science Center is ready to celebrate everything Pi, from eating pie to reciting Pi, to exposing the secrets of Pi. Dangerously Delicious Pies has donated pies for the party, but save a little room for the pie eating contest!
Slice into some of the other Pi(e) Day activities by taking part in our Pi recitation contest, contributing to our lengthy Pi chain along the main staircase and making a Pi necklace. Pi(e) Day gets even sweeter because it is also Albert Einstein’s birthday, who would be turning 134 years old. Help us make this a special day by joining us to sing “Happy Birthday” to the revolutionary physicist and engaging in hair-raising experiments just like he did.
All activities are free with paid admission, and completely free for members.
